Mega Indian Pharmaceutical Congress Expo Officially Opens with Cultural Splendor
Bengaluru: The 74th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (IPC) Expo has officially begun today at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), marked by a vibrant display of Indian culture and professional excellence. The prestigious event, hosted by the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI), was inaugurated with a series of grand cultural programs that showcased the rich heritage of Karnataka, setting a high-energy tone for the thousands of delegates and global experts in attendance. The opening ceremony successfully blended the traditional "Mahakumbh" spirit of the gathering with a forward-looking focus on the theme of "AI & Technology in Pharma."
Leading the inaugural proceedings were the prominent faces of the Indian Pharmaceutical Congress Association (IPCA). Dr. Milind Janrao Umekar, President of both IPCA and APTI, officially welcomed the fraternity, highlighting the congress's role as a catalyst for innovation. He was joined by the key architects of the event: Dr. T.V. Narayana (General Secretary, IPCA), Dr. Deependra Singh and Dr. Raman Dang (Organizing Secretaries), and Mr. Harish Jain (LOC Chairman). Together with the first-ever woman Scientist Convener, Dr. Vandana B. Patravale, the leadership team emphasized that this edition is dedicated to empowering the youth. With the official start of the scientific sessions and the massive trade expo today, Bengaluru has firmly established itself as the epicenter of global pharmaceutical advancement for the next three days.
